Her Story

Kartiki Arondekar
Proprietor + Principal Architect
 

After completion of Graduation in 2007, she started her career as Junior Architect with Architectural Consultants (currently known as Connect4) and Chandrashekhar Architects Pvt. Ltd. at Mumbai. As a fast learner, she took up responsibilities of projects independently and monitored the execution of construction work on site.

 

She was a Team Leader + Senior Architect for 10 years, with the world-renowned Shashi Prabhu & Associates at Mumbai.

With this 14+ years of knowledge bank, she has a versatile portfolio of projects of micro to macro scale. She has experience in residential & commercial interiors, residential architecture, commercial, institutional, healthcare, hospitality & sports.

Her father, late Mr. Arun Bhikaji Mestry, an Architect, ex-alumni of the Academy of Architecture with 40+ years of experience was practising with his design partner in Mumbai for last 30 years. She was encouraged by her father to work and learn with other renowned  Architects and create a strong foundation of her own experience, before establishing own design practice. 

 

A person with sensitivity towards discipline, simplicity, research- oriented in her daily life, she enjoys traveling, photography, creative writing and is a poetic thinker.

Inception of Design3.14

Circle is a perfect form as all the points are at same distance from its centre. It is simple to express, yet complex to calculate, as the factor 3.14 plays a major role. Without 3.14, this geometry is incomplete.

Design3.14 ideology is based on these principles.

Perfection,

Detailing,

Accuracy,

Discipline.

The design approach is methodological, where the client is the centre and the design evolves around the client, based on his requirements. The 3.14 factor represents architect's role. 

Solutions are modular when the process is typical. Whereas, at Design3.14 every solution is unique in itself as every client is an individual identity.
